Anju Paudel, PhD, MGS, RN, is Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. Her academic training is in nursing and gerontology. Dr. Paudel focuses on better understanding the quality of daily care interactions between care staff and persons living with dementia across settings of care, factors influencing these interactions, and the measures of interactions. Some of her recent work has led to the development of the Promoting Positive Care Interactions intervention supported by the Southern Nursing Research Society, as well as the development of the QUALity of Interactions Inventory (QUALII) tool supported by the Alzheimer’s Association. Dr. Paudel has disseminated her work in several scientific journals of nursing and gerontology disciplines. She also engages with local and national organizations that address issues related to nursing and the quality of care of older adults.
