Young Sun Jung, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner specializing in nephrology. She is dedicated to improving the quality of care for hemodialysis patients and is currently serving as a nephrology nurse practitioner at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Ms. Jung moved to the United States initially to pursue a PhD but later shifted her focus to clinical practice.

Dr. Yijung Kim is a senior research analyst at Aledade and has expertise in data science, gerontology, and health economics. She specializes in healthcare analytics, focusing on system utilization and patient outcomes. Her methodological strengths include ML/AI and causal inference. In previous roles, she has held research and faculty positions at MedStar Health Research Institute and Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Shibin Yan is a social gerontologist who focuses on aging, health disparities, and home—and community-based services. He serves on the GSA Webinar Taskforce and is passionate about bridging academic research with practice and policy. Currently, Shibin works at the SpectraCare Foundation as a healthcare specialist, supporting veterans and underserved populations through innovative health programs. He holds a graduate degree from Rutgers University and actively contributes to initiatives connecting emerging scholars with global career opportunities.

Sarah Whitmarsh is the Vice President of Member Engagement at LeadingAge Washington, where she leads key efforts in member relations, communications, education, and workforce development. In this role, she works closely with staff, providers, and external consultants to ensure that LeadingAge Washington delivers valuable services that are aligned with the needs of its members. Sarah is instrumental in expanding and supporting the wide range of education offerings available to members. She is focused on building collaborative efforts to strengthen the long-term care workforce across the state. Sarah brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Director of Resident Services at a Life Plan Community. She holds a BA in Business Administration, a Master’s in Gerontology, and certificates in grant writing and online teaching and training. Additionally, Sarah is a 2023 Fellow of the Larry Minnix National Leadership Academy, the model for LeadingAge Washington’s Leadership Institute.
