The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) provide substantial resources for healthcare research in the United States that can help grantees to advance their research missions and improve healthcare quality. AHRQ and PCORI each have their own missions along with specific criteria and objectives that applicants should know to maximize their chances of successfully applying for funding. GSA members and invited speakers with expertise working with PCORI and AHRQ (from the inside and the outside) discuss their insights into these funders. This discussion is followed by questions to the panel and helpful tips to maximize the likelihood of future funding application success.
