Armen Moughamian, MD, PhD

Dr. Armen Moughamian is a cognitive neurologist at the Ray Dolby Brain Health Center which is part of the California Pacific Medical Center and Sutter Health in San Francisco, California. Dr. Moughamian is the medical director of the center and leads a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, neuropsychologists and social workers in the evaluation and treatment of patients with cognitive impairment. The team at the Dolby Center has pioneered a dyad care model which imbeds a social worker into the treatment of the patient, providing support for families and care-partners throughout the disease. He also heads the clinical trials program at the Dolby Center focused primarily on treatment trials for Alzheimer’s disease and early diagnosis. Dr. Moughamian completed his undergraduate training at UC Berkeley, MD and PhD trainings at the University of Pennsylvania and neurology residency and fellowship at UCSF.

Dr. Paul Schulz, MD is the Rick McCord Professor of Neurology, the Umphrey Family Professor of Neurodegenerative Disorders, and the Director of the Neurocognitive Disorders Center at the McGovern Medical School of UTHealth Houston. Dr. Schulz specializes in neurodegenerative dementias, concentrating on Alzheimer disease and related disorders. His research focuses on illuminating the processes underlying dementia and risk factors for it, developing tests to diagnose dementia earlier, and pursuing dementia prevention strategies. He also focuses on the development of innovative treatments for these conditions, including single, multisite, and pharma-sponsored clinical trials. These studies investigate the efficacy of therapies aimed at slowing or halting disease progression. He is a leading expert in dementia care and is recognized for his commitment to improving patient outcomes through both research and clinical practice.
